Y-3 consistently produces some of the cleanest footwear out on the market. The line helmed by Yohji Yamamoto in conjunction with Adidas has challenged the limits of what a sportswear company can achieve with the right balance of function and design.
Below are the latest fabric renditions of the The Honja Highs for the FW08 season, available in a white crinkled leather and a clean black leather. Both retail for $250.

For a long time these two Star Wars inspired Sneakers were already announced.

This Consortium Pack contains a black Superstar Force, which represents the dark side and stands for Darth Vader, and a beige/white model, which stands for the good side, the Light Side (Yoda, hatch Skywalker etc..).

Both Pairs of Sneakers are limited in about 800 copies!

A further special characteristic is that the packing of the Sneakers reminds of those of the Star Wars Vintage figures by connoisseurs from the 70’s.

The Consortium Superstar’s are available at our favourite sneakerstore SOLEBOX in Berlin! (Nürnbergerstr. 16, 10789 Berlin).
Good Luck!!

Steve Aoki.
He is the big star of the Indie Rock Scene in L.A.
Remember? The guy who owns the Hollywood Label Dim Mak Records (means as much as “Death Touch”, based on Chinese Martial Arts). He also creates fashion collections and not to forget his status of a Celebrity he reached as DJ.

Is God a DJ?
Steve began with djing when he was a small boy. Later at the age of 20 he created the label Dim Mak, including releases of the Klaxons, Whitey and Bloc Party so far.
“I’m fucking disco” fits in such a way quite well on Aoki, maybe this is the reason he probably has designed Shirts with statements like this.

Here and there you can see a small selection of the Shirts from the Dim Mak’s.
BETTER: order yourself a pair of Aoki Signatures….

Even really good Sneakers 4 my taste!!
To yell it out loud: I WANT THOSE!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!! AND FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!

JB Classics continue to go from strength to strength with their newest collab, the Sneaker Pimps Version 2 shoe. You may remember the original for its stark black upper with its white Chain-Link fence graphic heel and crazy skittle fuelled sole. Also available is the matching New Era cap, featuring a dope silk lined print of the Australian map to compliment the shoes.

Keep is a shoe company, a clothing company, an amalgam of interests, a way of being, a force, a language, a family and many other things. Their kicks are for ladies, though sometimes their promos are unisex, and plenty of dudes rock the shoes in larger sizes.

Keep is for all the women who have their game tight, who work hard to make things happen, who spread positivity and energy around them, who take care of their loved ones and most importantly take care of themselves.
Keep shoes are for those women who are tired of clown shoes, too many bells and whistles, and the misappropriation of the color pink.
All Keep products are cruelty free and produced in audited, certified factories.

The One Piece concept has been seen on Nike Dunks and Air Force Ones, but now Adidas has given this simplistic approach a shot. They have taken the Gazelle and stripped it down to all white leather with stitches to show separation where the different panels are supposed to be. Available now at WeSoldOut!

Whenever you watch The Simpsons, you would see Bart Simpson skateboarding his way across Springfield in the opening scene. After watching this for so many years, it seems that skateboarding has become an integral part of The Simpsons. So for the upcoming Simpsons movie, The Simpsons have collaborated with Vans for something special. Currently, there isn’t much information on these but twelve artists including David Flores, Futura, Gary Panter, Geoff McFetridge, KAWS, Mr. Cartoon, Neckface, Sam Messer, Stash, Taka Hayashi, Todd James and Tony Munoz were enlisted for this project.
They will be available on July 14th so look out for more information to come!
In the meantime, you can create your own Simpsons avatar here.

End of July ‘07 VANS will open it’s first German Store in Berlin.
In the sales room of the old landmarked butcher’s shop are still the nearly hundred years old original flagstones on the walls - a very unusual environment around a selection of the extensive product assortment like shoes, clothing and accessory…
Highlight is this Classic slip-on in green’n'white tile Design, which is offered exclusively in a limited edition by only 200 pieces in the new Shop.

On July 25th is the official opening day including a signing hour with the international Skate teams in context of their Vans Sk8-Tour ‘07. Vans Skaters such as Danny Wainwright, Chris Pfanner, Muki Ruestig, Tom Derichs, Sabrina Goeggel, Mark Frölich or Ferit Batir will insert a stop around the new Vans store to inaugurate…
The butcher’s block berlin is european-wide one of five self-operated stores. Other Vans Stores are in Barcelona, London, Paris and Utrecht so far….

The new Fall collection 2007 of Vans Vault is shown on their updated website.
I especially like the Robert Williams collaborations, but some other interesting models are in there too.
Like the plaid slip-on series and also the perforated series with some new fresh colorways. If you are into that stuff make sure to read the interesting interview with Robert Williams.
He’s awesome!

Daphne Bikker is a product designer who graduated at the Academy of Art in Arnhem.
Having interned at Viktor & Rolf in 2004, you can see where she has learned some of her sculptural aesthetic.

The reason we love her work so much is that she takes the very essence of what she learned as a product designer, the balance of form and function, and has expertly applied it to her footwear. Very often we see students and graduates show off their skills by leaning more towards form, and function is rarely really a factor. But Bikker has shown that shoes can be influenced by the environment around her, like architecture or nature, and still maintain wearability. Her designs surpass the usual novelty factor…

This year is an exciting year for sneakers and sneakerheads. The Nike Air Force 1 turned 25!
And here we are in 2007 celebrating an icon of the women’s sneaker game as well…
The Freestyle Hi by Reebok.
To celebrate this event Reebok commissioned a series of special editions of the Freestyle Hi.
The Freestyle Hi was made famous in the 80’s when it became the quintessential fitness footwear of the Aerobics crazed era, slouchy socks, tights, unitards and leotards..Remember Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie “Perfect” (1985)..

The Freestyle which also exists in a low top version made Reebok a leader in the athletic and lifestyle footwear for women.
The Trendsetters of this world gave the “Freestyle Hi” a new life again..
