Jade Jagger and Katharine Hamnett have joined forces with the likes of the Scissor Sisters, Justice, Rihanna and Timbaland to create a new collection - Fashion Against AIDS - with H&M.
All the artists involved have participated free of charge to design a range of T-shirts, tank tops and hoodies for the project, which was initiated by charitable organisation Designers Against AIDS with the aim of raising awareness of the spread of HIV/AIDS among young people.
The pieces run the gamut from subtle patterns representing those affected to more overt means of getting the message across; a contribution from Hamnett - a T-shirt emblazoned with “Use a condom!” - is typically vocal.
“It’s a collection that’s rich in colour, with considerable commitment going into every garment,” explains H&M’s head of design, Margareta van den Bosch.
“The artists have created personal prints with a strong sense of style.”
And with a top price of € 12,90, there’s no excuse for not getting involved. H&M’s Fashion Against AIDS range will be available from February as part of its younger-end Divided label, with 25 per cent of the proceeds going to HIV/AIDS-prevention projects around the world.
But now my BIG LOVE Jeremy Fish throws his hat in the accessories ring with his Superfishal line…
I really like the lifestyle products expansion route my favorite artists is taking just so long as he keeps it tasteful. Both these guys have done just that…
Apples secretive slogan that something lays in the air could be taken calmly literally:
FINALLY….. Introducing the MacBook AIR. The world’s thinnest notebook.
The MacBook AIR is ultrathin, ultraportable and ultra unlike anything else…
The MacBook Air is really a cool device. Excellent design, the multitouch trackpad is a killer and it’s so damn thin, really thin. It’s so thin I would be in the fear of breaking it when I use it.
VERY SAD: The MacBook looks so clumsy now…
The thinness of MacBook AIR is stirring. But perhaps more impressive, there’s a full-size notebook encased in the 0.16 to 0.76 inch of sleek, sturdy anodized aluminum. And at just 3.0 pounds, 1 MacBook Air is more than portable — it’s with you everywhere you go.
The glossy 13.3-inch, widescreen LED backlit MacBook AIR display is the same viewable size as the screen on MacBook. The 1280-by-800 resolution gives you vibrant images and rich colors at full brightness the moment you open MacBook Air. So you get full-screen performance with all the benefits of a slim design.
The keyboard is full-size with crisp keys just like the ones on MacBook. But MacBook AIR goes further by adding backlit key illumination, making it easy to work in low-light settings such as airplanes and conference halls. A built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts keyboard and display brightness for optimal visibility. And with the oversize multi-touch trackpad, it just keeps getting better for fingers.
MacBook AIR includes an oversize trackpad with multi-touch technology. You can pinch, swipe, or rotate to zoom in on text, advance through a photo album, or adjust an image. This gesture-based input so successful on iPhone and iPod touch now comes to MacBook.
Welcome to Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, the strangest, most fantastic, most wonderful toy store in the world. It’s a tantalizing toy haven in which everything insideliterally coes to life - including the store itself - and where marvels of every imaginable, possible kind, and beyond, never cease… that is until now.
When Mr. Magorium, the store’s extraordinary 243 year-old proprietor (Dustin Hoffmann), announces that he will at long last hand over the reigns of his wonder-expanding store to his unconfident young manager, Molly Mahoney (Natalie Portman), the store decides to throw an unusual tantrum.
As a skeptical accountant named Henry (Jason Bateman) comes in to audit the Legos and Lincoln Logs, bot to mention the Whodathoughts and Whatchamacallits, the once sparkling, color-saturated Emporium is suddenly embattled by mysterious changes. The playful toys are all still there, but they’ve turned gray and quiet - and only Mahoney and Henry can revive them if, with the help of a superdexterous 9 year-old (Zach Mills), they can find the source of magic inside themselves.
For a long time these two Star Wars inspired Sneakers were already announced.

I just finished watching the new Halloween Movie directed by Rob Zombie.
And for all of you who are into Horror movies: this is the best Halloween the world has ever seen!!
I’ve always been a BIG fan of his artwork. Yeah right, his movies are kinda art for me. Never seen movies where sex, crime, love and sheer brutality was assembled to such an erotic powerful and colored journey like on his. The way he works out fear and desire in every scene just turns me on and I’m even not quiet sure why Rob Zombie’s combination of beautiful blonde bimbo and sinister psychotic serial killer is such a powerful combination..
Rob Zombie is best known as a musician, formerly the lead singer for the band White Zombie. He’s also well-known as a fan of B-movies, horror movies in particular, and over the last few years, Zombie has become a screenwriter and director himself. His first two movies were House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, the latter of which enjoyed significant amount of success. And the former movie was a cult classic in its own right.
He is also the executive producer of the forthcoming film The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, based upon his comic book series, ‘The Adventures of El Superbeasto’ (which appeared in his Spookshow International comic book). USuperbeasto is animated and due for a 2008 release.
House of 1000 Corpses was Rob Zombie’s directorial debut and his first horror film. It took four years to make (1999-2003), and was finally released by Lion’s Gate Films in 2003, after Stacy Snider, then-head of Universal Pictures, sold the film to them, as she did not wish for Universal to release the film. It was later revealed that Snider is not a fan of horror films. It featured a shocking amount of violence and gore, a hark back to Rob’s exploitation-film influences. It told the tale of a group of unlucky teenagers who stumble upon the Firefly Family, a family of sadistic and vicious murderers. The film was shot in a surreal and over-the-top style that alternated between dark and campy humor.
house of 1000 corpes
1000 Corpses’ sequel, The Devil’s Rejects, showcased a much different style. Whereas House was at times comedic and bizarre, Rejects was more dark, serious and gritty and was more of a Western revenge movie than an outright horror film. Released in 2005, Rejects had the Firefly Family on the run from the law and a particularly vengeful sheriff whose brother was murdered by them in the first film.
the devil’s rejects
Rob Zombie contributed to the 2007 exploitation film Grindhouse, by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino by directing a faux trailer, called Werewolf Women of the S.S., starring his wife, exploitation veterans Udo Kier and Sybil Danning, and Nicolas Cage, who did his appearance for free as a favor.
Zombie next directed Halloween, a reimagining of the 1978 classic that was released August 31st, 2007.
halloween
If you are into Horror movies then all his movies should be on your must-have list!!!
Enjoy watching the trailers.

In the new cinema comedy “Lars and The Real Girl” the life-genuine plastic dolls of the California company RealDoll play besides actor Ryan Gosling the main role.
Noted in the margin: Allegedly the film is amazing “prudish”, as the picture agency writes.

When Lars Lindstrom introduces his brother Gus and sister-in-law Karin to his new friend Bianca, who he met on the internet, their immediate response is shock and disbelief. Has Lars, the sweet, socially challenged introvert gone completely mad - they meet Bianca and see a doll, but Lars sees a friend.
Bianca isn’t a real woman at all but a Real Doll, how will they explain this to the residents of the sleepy Midwestern town they’ve grown up in and currently reside?
Karin and Gus consult the town’s family physician, Dr. Dagmar Berman, who advises them to go along with it. Lars is experiencing a delusion and in order to help him through this crisis, they and the townsfolk need to get onboard.
After some persuasion and appeal to their love and concern for Lars, Gus and Karin enlist their cooperation. Soon Bianca is attending church, modeling at the local dress shop, volunteering at the hospital and accompanying Lars to his first ever social events. Surprisingly to those around her, Bianca weaves her way into the hearts of everyone she meets, filling voids they didn’t know they had.
