As a skateboarder, Harold Hunter was sponsored most notably by Zoo York. He also owned Rock Star Bearings Co. He skated goofy-footed, and some of his favorite skateboarding tricks included the Backside Heel, 360 Ollie, Nollie Heel, Feeble Grind and the Switch Crooked Grind.

On February 17, 2006, Harold Hunter’s brother discovered him in his Lower East Side apartment, dead from an apparent cocaine overdose. Police investigators later stated that cocaine was found both adjacent to and on the body. He was 31 years old. His phrase still lives on: “Legends Never Die”.
This book is in memory of Harold Hunter.

Alex Da Corte is a Philadelphia-based artist who has studied film, fine art, and printmaking at the School of Visual Arts in New York and Philadelphias University of the Arts. Each of the disciplines he has studied manifests itself in his varied artworks.
Much of Alex’ current work started with wheat-pasting pictures of people carrying enormous ketchup bottles around the Philadelphia. This work was tied to an investigation of the everyday diner as a heaven-like environment. After dying on April Fools Day from a rare medical condition and permanently losing his intestines, the artists work changed greatly, though it still held on to some earlier religious themes. His new work utilizes a mixed-media approach, dealing with imagery of colostomy bags, Clark Gable, birthdays, snakes, and dead horses.
There is more good stuff to come, I love it!

Datz wut i´m talkin´bout!!!
That Marty Markowitz - he’s always coming up with sum new ´n crazy idea. Like signs at Brooklyn’z exit points that say, “Leaving Brooklyn…Fugheddaboutit.”
The NY Post reveals the wacky Brooklyn borough president’s thinking - “Once you enter Brooklyn, there’s no good reason why you should ever leave” - and goes on to point out that many Brooklynites (and sports teams) do leave in fact, and it’s possible that one in four Americans has roots in Brooklyn.
So anyone taking the Gowanus Expressway and Belt Parkway approaches to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge or the Belt Parkway and the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway near the Queens border can check ´em out.
