Berlin has been the capital of something or other for 400 odd years now. Started with the Kingdom of Prussia and on to the German Empire, famous for its handsomely mustachioed heads of state. This spring, Berlin will also be the capital of Finnish music.
HelsinKissBerlin brings Helsinki - the capital of the country with the thousand lakes and the finnish culture to Berlin. In collaboration with the Finnland-Institut in Germany, the embassy of Finland, the city Berlin and other co-operation partners a multiplicity of Events is shown, what the Finnish capital region has to offer within the cultural, economic and scientific range.
The goal of the project is to make the region Helsinki in Berlin and Germany public, and to deepen the relation between Berlin and the capital region of Finland within the ranges economics, science and culture.

Patrick Wolf has had an amazing year. Only 24 years old, he had already released two albums of strange electronic-tinged folk documenting the tumults of adolescence, before he returned with his breakout album ‘The Magic Position’. Where the previous albums seemed rooted in a love for the desolate areas of England, this one was more autobiographical; a song cycle that documented the headiness of first love. In turns lovestruck, delirious, melancholic, and triumphant, it has become a landmark album for 2007.
A self-proclaimed “gypsy” since leaving home at 16, he has forged his own way ever since, relying on music as his source of escape. He built his own theremin at 13 years and now plays no less than twenty instruments. A spell at Trinity College Conservatory was cut short by a desire to create his own music and Patrick Wolf was born. 20007 was the year where he has made that giant leap out of the cult star tag into the wider consciousness. From touring the world to posing for Burberry, he can genuinely stake a claim as a pop star…
He created the premiere hymn of the legendary Technoparade in Paris 1998 and released a bunch of Maxis and Mini Albums on some of the most famous international Record Labels.
FREONs style is characterized by Originality and known for Deep Analogic Electro Ghettotech. He is switching successfully between Electro, Hip Hop and Techno but always following his unique Style.
In 2005 he launched his Label (i call it like this he would say it’s his “consortium of all his entities”…) called BBOYDELUXXXX..
Wanna hear what it’s all about???
Well… then don’t watch the screen like you are about to stick your head up your ass…
Yesterday I visited lil Jim, who was born on Saturday…
He is the cutest baby I’ve ever seen!!! Indeed!
Well, so it isn’t that surprising that I get kinda feelings like fear of being left on the shelf?
Yes?
No?
Whatever…
One thing I know for sure: to love is beautiful, to be able to love also and to have someone to share with is the best at all!!!
Maybe I am a dreamer but I have this idea that he is near…
Steve Aoki.
He is the big star of the Indie Rock Scene in L.A.
Remember? The guy who owns the Hollywood Label Dim Mak Records (means as much as “Death Touch”, based on Chinese Martial Arts). He also creates fashion collections and not to forget his status of a Celebrity he reached as DJ.
Is God a DJ?
Steve began with djing when he was a small boy. Later at the age of 20 he created the label Dim Mak, including releases of the Klaxons, Whitey and Bloc Party so far.
“I’m fucking disco” fits in such a way quite well on Aoki, maybe this is the reason he probably has designed Shirts with statements like this.
Here and there you can see a small selection of the Shirts from the Dim Mak’s.

I’ve ever been a big fan of Justin Timberlake.. Yes, you heard right… But which girl is not? and… who actually cares??
So even if the following tie-clip is quite old, I cannot withhold it from you: Justin Timberlake in its best role as Chav Player. Instead of diamonds to give away, there is somewhat completely special for the Ladies, avowedly in three steps:
1. Cut a whole in that box
2. Put your junk in that box
3. Make her open the box
And that’s the way you Do it: That’s my dick in a box!
Here is the uncut version, understands itself: Performed for the Saturday Night Live Show in collaboration with Andy Samberg.
The girl band from Brighton has me since today as a new fan above all, because they prove a fine feeling for music and videos.
The spooky bicycle tour in their video to “What’s A Girl to Do” was shot by Dougal Wilson after inspiration of Donnie Darko (source: Spex).
Oh and their homepage is also worth seeing, because contentful with works of art and photos enriched. I like! That is beside RóisÃn Murphy’s new album today my absolute music highlight:
Emerging electro wunderkid Breakbot crafts party tunes. Big ones. Following in the footsteps of French electro duo Justice, Parisian Thibaut Berland aka Breakbot has mastered the art of melting together all the best elements of dance, electro and hip hop with skill and precision. And a laptop.
Born in 1981, Thibaut was immersed in the sights and sounds of the subsequent decade, and remained appropriately pulled between his love of animation graphics/comics, and music. He chose neither one clear path, nor another. Possessing a degree in computer graphics, and having created his first animation short film co-directed with two friends, Thibaut now makes music videos, commercials and such. By day. By night however, he cooks up choice cut electronic music, experimenting with beats, layers, keyboards, vocals, and Daft Punk-esque get-yo-funk-on basslines.
He is signed at moshi moshi.
Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Lo who came from a fast paced city where adventure was around the corner. This big city was full of smog, palm trees, and neon signs. There were millions of people in this city, but the longer she lived there, the lonelier she felt…
Once there was a young boy named Benjamin who came from a land of calm winds and four seasons. In many ways, life there was quite simple. But, the boy grew older and one day decided to see what else the world may have in store for him. So he headed west in pursuit of the unknown…
….Through an intricate combination of chance and circumstance, he found the young girl. The two quickly realized that their forces were much stronger together than they ever were apart.
Lo was so inspired by her new found love that she went on to design an ice cream truck that would drive around the city and spread fun and magic. Ben was so inspired by his new muse that he created a soundtrack of music for their truck and their life.
On any given night they are on one mission or another. You might find them starting impromptu dance parties with their new ep out of the truck, or postering the city with inspiring messages…Or maybe hanging golden hearts from street lines….You never know.
Together they stay home and tinker….playing games, creating wonder and sounds…. Conspiring on their next plans of attack…. You see, it is a very difficult task to navigate through dark forces of the city in which they reside.
You may think that once they found each other, the rest would have been easy. But, that is far from true. During the two month long process of making the debut double ep, the two were tested in ways that normal human beings would think was out of a science fiction movie……
By clutching onto the thought that others would be inspired by their music, they were able to perserve and finish the project. The result is a collection of songs divided into two parts. Side A contains electronic dance/soundtrack songs. Side B contains electronic heartschallenger ice cream truck songs. All of the songs were derived from love songs left on answering machines, and some of the beats were made by listening to each other’s heartbeat with a stethoscope. With a finished double ep and a truck stocked with international ice cream, candy and treats, what were the two to do next? In order to share their magic others, they need assistance in spreading the word of the beauty they have created.
Just remember, the greatest challenges are ones from the heart…………
Unfortunately they had to cancel the Berlin and Copenhagen dates this week…
We can’t believe it…!
Some pretty serious health stuff came up and the doctor ordered Dave 1 to take the week off.
(>>> Hey Dave 1… Can we care for you? We got these white latex dresses with the red crosses on them titties and alot of energy just for you…besides our fancy footwork is phenomenal!!)
Well….they promise they’ll reschedule…
HEY DAVE 1….HEY P-THUGG…..WE REALLY HOPE SO!!!
Until then, keep it funky, and let’s hope Dave gets well soon so that they can make the rest of the tour! (I’ll do my best …… )
…after drinking 3 bottles of wine with my friends i feel like…..uhm……i have to post this video again…..cause: I LOVE IT!!!!
Enjoy DJ Mehdi feat. Chromeo “I am somebody”
IT’S DEFINITELY DA SHIAAAAAT!!!
Oooh, and by the way….at Plus you can get the Blanchet for only € 1,99….. check dis out!
Chromeo is slick. Chromeo is dripping with reverb. Chromeo is Moog riffs, luxurious harmonies, macho guitar solos and real-deal songcraft. From the dancefloor-ready singles “Fancy Footwork†and “Tenderoni†to the autobiographical Jew-boy ballad “Momma’s Boy†to the epic sax-laden album closer “100%â€. Fancy Footwork rolls you through a sleek, melodic world where all you need to worry about is whether you’ve got your sunglasses on and the right moves to keep up.
Remember the debate when Chromeo first came on the scene? The endless back and forth about whether those boys were joking or not? Well, Fancy Footwork will put any vestigial haters to sleep forever. There ain’t nothing “ironical†about this music.
It’s Hall & Oates riding on 22’s, busting shots in the air with Quincy Jones driving. That shit ain’t funny….
Finally on june 21 they will visit Berlin!
Check it out at the 103 club..!
