Yesterday I visited lil Jim, who was born on Saturday…
He is the cutest baby I’ve ever seen!!! Indeed!
Well, so it isn’t that surprising that I get kinda feelings like fear of being left on the shelf?

Whatever…

One thing I know for sure: to love is beautiful, to be able to love also and to have someone to share with is the best at all!!!

Maybe I am a dreamer but I have this idea that he is near…

Supermandoliniâ„¢ are two graphic designers from Thessaloniki, Greece whose love and passion for design resulted in the creation and launch of Supermandoliniâ„¢ - Online Boutique in 2007.
Starting only with a range of t-shirt designs in mind they ended up producing and designing more than just apparel.
At the moment their boutique has a range of handmade accessories like earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings and pins and a limited number of high quality posters and canvases which all have been designed with the same energy and eye for detail that describes their work…

aoki signatures.

Steve Aoki.
He is the big star of the Indie Rock Scene in L.A.
Remember? The guy who owns the Hollywood Label Dim Mak Records (means as much as “Death Touch”, based on Chinese Martial Arts). He also creates fashion collections and not to forget his status of a Celebrity he reached as DJ.

Is God a DJ?

Steve began with djing when he was a small boy. Later at the age of 20 he created the label Dim Mak, including releases of the Klaxons, Whitey and Bloc Party so far.

“I’m fucking disco” fits in such a way quite well on Aoki, maybe this is the reason he probably has designed Shirts with statements like this.

Here and there you can see a small selection of the Shirts from the Dim Mak’s.

The product turns two plastic bottles into a clothes hanger by screwing the bottles into the hook. By the concept that reuses empty plastic bottles, I try to present to consumers a realistic idea to address environmental realities and encourage the reuse of already â€œconsumedâ€ items to form a new functional product. The design incorporates the following features that make it practical and appealing to both producers and consumers: â€¢ Low cost, realistic commodity â€¢ The shape of the bottle provides more fit support for the shoulder of clothes than traditional ones â€¢ Inspire the interest of users: the concept will attract consumers and inspire a rethinking of consumption habits

Large quantities of disposable plastic cups are common site after any party. This is a modular structured system made of used disposable plastic cups and paper clips. In day time it functions as natural light source lighting and at night time it functions as light fixture with 220 volt light bulb situated inside the system. Similar to bee-hives structure this system can grow to any size and it is much stronger then its component.

Michael Perry works in Brooklyn, NY making books, magazines, newspapers, clothing, and drawings. He is currently curating two new books. He also recently started a magazine called Untitled aâ€¦ That explores his current interests. Doodling away night and day, Perry creates new typefaces and sundry graphics that inevitably evolve into his new work, exercising the great belief that the generating of piles is the sincerest form of creative process…

lars and the real girl…

Usually only lonely men buy the “anatomically correct” and life-large dolls of the US company RealDoll. But now the large silicone toys become cinema celebrities…

In the new cinema comedy “Lars and The Real Girl” the life-genuine plastic dolls of the California company RealDoll play besides actor Ryan Gosling the main role.
Noted in the margin: Allegedly the film is amazing “prudish”, as the picture agency writes.

Story:

When Lars Lindstrom introduces his brother Gus and sister-in-law Karin to his new friend Bianca, who he met on the internet, their immediate response is shock and disbelief. Has Lars, the sweet, socially challenged introvert gone completely mad - they meet Bianca and see a doll, but Lars sees a friend.
Bianca isnâ€™t a real woman at all but a Real Doll, how will they explain this to the residents of the sleepy Midwestern town theyâ€™ve grown up in and currently reside?

Karin and Gus consult the townâ€™s family physician, Dr. Dagmar Berman, who advises them to go along with it. Lars is experiencing a delusion and in order to help him through this crisis, they and the townsfolk need to get onboard.
After some persuasion and appeal to their love and concern for Lars, Gus and Karin enlist their cooperation. Soon Bianca is attending church, modeling at the local dress shop, volunteering at the hospital and accompanying Lars to his first ever social events. Surprisingly to those around her, Bianca weaves her way into the hearts of everyone she meets, filling voids they didnâ€™t know they had.
What follows is a transformative journey for Lars and the people around him.

duane hanson’s lifelike sculptures…

Since the early 1970â€™s Duane Hanson has been making startlingly lifelike sculptures of middle America accomplished through a complex process of casting from live models, recreated in bronze or fibreglass resin.

Duane Hanson concentrated on the naked fact of the subject, an astonishingly persuasive counterfeit of another human being as a fully realised physical presence.

The insistence on the irreplaceability of each person, and on the dignity to be accorded to those who are usually overlooked or spurned as ordinary are central to Duane Hansonâ€™s art and humanitarian vision.

Duane Hansonâ€™s sculptures of people are just too believable. Creating vignettes of real American life, he doesnâ€™t forget a single detail. Casting his figures from live models in his studio, Duane Hanson then adorned them with every attribute of life-likeness from tiny body hairs, varicose viens, bruises, and hangnails. He hand picked their clothes from second hand shops, and accessorised them accordingly.

Upon encountering one of these extraordinarily realistic sculptures, the typical reaction of a museum visitor unfamiliar with Duane Hanson’s work can be among the most interesting and amusing events one might witness in a museum or gallery.
Hanson’s sculptures, especially those that are appropriate in a gallery setting such as Seated Artist, Museum Guard, Janitor or Old Couple on a Bench, are often dismissed as people at rest-sitting or standing like any other visitor. Many visitors may never know that those people they passed were actually artworks. On other occasions a visitor might try to engage the sculptures in conversation. Of course, after a few moments they discover that these are not real people after all!

Duane Hanson was an extraordinary craftsman and an observer of life. In creating an artwork, he first determined the proper pose for the sculpture. Working with a model, the artist took photos until he was satisfied with the figure’s position. Then the artist formed rubber and plaster molds of each part of the subject’s body-arms, legs, torso and head molds were each created separately. When the molds dried, they were cut off the model and filled with flesh-colored polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass.

learning to love you more…

Learning to Love You More is both a web site and series of non-web presentations comprised of work made by the general public in response to assignments given by artists Miranda July and Harrell Fletcher. Yuri Ono designs and manages the web site.
Participants accept an assignment, complete it by following the simple but specific instructions, send in the required report (photograph, text, video, etc), and see their work posted on-line. Like a recipe, meditation practice, or familiar song, the prescriptive nature of these assignments is intended to guide people towards their own experience.
Since Learning To Love You More is also an ever-changing series of exhibitions, screenings and radio broadcasts presented all over the world, participant’s documentation is also their submission for possible inclusion in one of these presentations. Past presentations have taken place at venues that include The Whitney Museum in NYC, Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, Aurora Picture Show in Houston, TX, The Seattle Art Museum in Seattle, WA, the Wattis Institute in San Francisco CA, among others.
Since LTLYM inception in 2002 over 5000 people have participated in the project.

Purple Fashion Magazine, the paradise of the super Editorials….

So who actually is this warm brother on the Cover?

Photographed of my dearest Terry Richardson, no one smaller than the adorable AndrÃ© adorns the Cover of the issue for fall/winter…
Not further exciting if he wouldn’t be the partner of ChloÃ© Sevigny’s brother Paul.
Together they are leading the notorious club Beatrice Inn in New York…

And their concept seems to work: no VIP rooms, no guest lists, no bad music, no crummy parties and no sleazy style. The club is poppin’ like always crowded and the Boheme is apart itself:

The girl band from Brighton has me since today as a new fan above all, because they prove a fine feeling for music and videos.
The spooky bicycle tour in their video to “What’s A Girl to Do” was shot by Dougal Wilson after inspiration of Donnie Darko (source: Spex).
