Yeah Right! could be defined as the Girl/Choco families’ most ambitious venture to date. Less of a skateboarding film and more of a cinematic experience, the video clocks in at a solid 72 minutes with lengthy parts, montages and cinematic skits that only Spike Jones and Ty Evans could mastermind.
This video blew so many minds that it’s still being watched and talked about well beyond it’s release. There is no question that the Girl and Chocolate teams have the skills to pay the billz.
The video kicks off with a tribute to the late Keenan Milton, narrated by his close friend Stephen Cales — a touching montage to one of skateboarding’s fallen heroes… Yeah Right! has brilliant camera work, great skaters, and an amazing Soundtrack.
It goes past the normal boundaries of skateboarding videos and finds art in the sport.
The slow-motion work is flooring. Its been done before in other videos, but it was so smooth here. Another really cool thing was the use of the green boards and ramps.
Its too bad that this movie was not released in theaters, it is really that good! Starring: Brian Anderson, Kenny Anderson, Brandon Biebel, Chico Brenes, Mike Carroll, Ricardo Carvalho, Daniel Castillo, Justin Eldridge, Tony Ferguson, Jesus Fernandez, Rick Howard, Gino Iannucci, Marc Johnson, Rudy Johnson Scott Johnston, Eric Koston, Rick McCrank, Robbie McKinley, Keenan Milton, Richard Mulder, Chris Roberts, Paul Rodriguez, Jeremy Rogers, Jeron Wilson, Mike York.
I recommend this movie to all skateboarders and also to anyone looking for something that is fun to watch!!
Chromeo is slick. Chromeo is dripping with reverb. Chromeo is Moog riffs, luxurious harmonies, macho guitar solos and real-deal songcraft. From the dancefloor-ready singles “Fancy Footwork†and “Tenderoni†to the autobiographical Jew-boy ballad “Momma’s Boy†to the epic sax-laden album closer “100%â€. Fancy Footwork rolls you through a sleek, melodic world where all you need to worry about is whether you’ve got your sunglasses on and the right moves to keep up.
Remember the debate when Chromeo first came on the scene? The endless back and forth about whether those boys were joking or not? Well, Fancy Footwork will put any vestigial haters to sleep forever. There ain’t nothing “ironical†about this music.
It’s Hall & Oates riding on 22’s, busting shots in the air with Quincy Jones driving. That shit ain’t funny….
Finally on june 21 they will visit Berlin!
Check it out at the 103 club..!
Billionaire Boys Club is a clothing brand established by Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes in collaboration with Nigo, who is best known for his brand A Bathing Ape. Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream are produced in limited numbers in Japan, and only available from a handful of retailers around the world. Billionaire Boys Club is also based in line with Ice Cream Footwear, a brand of shoe designed by Pharrell and produced by Reebok. Like A Bathing Ape, Billionaire Boys Club clothing and Ice Cream footwear are often counterfeited.
The brand suffered many setbacks after its original conception after disputes between Pharrell Williams and Reebok. Reebok was originally set to release the clothing line alongside the Ice Cream sneaker line. Although the sneakers made it, the clothing line was postponed and all projects came to an end in late 2004/early 2005. It was at the very end of 2005 when the brand was finally launched as a sister company to A Bathing Ape. A flagship store exists in Japan with hand picked retailers from the US, Canada and Europe able to sell items in their stores.
Aside from the clothing line, BBC (billionaire boys club), Pharrell has also created his own skateboard team. The team is called “Team Ice Creamâ€; they have been creating several videos and are currently working with Tony Hawk in hopes of joining the X Games tour. Pharrell feels that being associated with the X Games will allow for his team to be noticed and help with the promotion of his clothing line. His clothing line entails everything from shoes, jeans, t-shirts, polo’s, sweatshirts, and jackets. There are only 20 stores in the United States that carry his label, the stores cover from coast to coast, including cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Honolulu. The most common and popular BBC hoodie is the Diamonds&Dollars hoodie. (wikipedia)

geoff McFetridge strikes again. this time he provides hand-drawn animation for the whitest boy alive’s beautiful “golden cage†video.
geoff’s work is infused with irony, humor, sadness and imagination that challenges an audience at the most visceral and emotional level. it attempts to manipulate the way people look at and understand the objects that surround them. for example, he displays posters in a gallery as a work of art and then de-empahsizes their value as artworks by hanging several in a row using binder clips.
most of his projects begin with writing or sketching, which he then tries to simply down to one statement, written or visual. in his own words, geoff “uses design to logify ideas.yet through this reductive process, none of the narratives are lost.his narratives offer us a space to get lost in and engage our own imagination the way we used to when we were children.
most of his work, stems from a personal space, a childhood memory or an attempt to capture a particular emotion or idea, all reduced to its most essential and understandable visual form.

as some of you maybe know berlin is the city with the millions of backyards. in summer when its getting hot as hell here everybody sleeps with open windows just not to choke…so do i…but tonite i can’t! some of my fabulous neighbors are having a big fight…or maybe they are drunk..i can’t figure it out and to be true it’s not even interesting to me..
what i need right now are earplugs!
theres alot of offers for earplugs..silicone earplugs for swimmer’s ears or custom made earplugs for noise reduction….
but i found something really special..
maybe it’s kind of absurd to wear them while sleeping but i’m sure, if you have any of them you will find situations to use them..like for example audrey hepburn in breakfast at tiffany’s…. and your ears will thank you!!

Cave men decorated their dwellings with drawings depicting the events of their lives. Mayans hacked their stories into the stone walls of their enormous structures, and the pharaohs’ talented artists decorated pyramid walls with art celebrating the magnificence of the pharaoh. Michelangelo painted biblical scenes on the walls and ceilings of the chapels of his day. You get the gist - for thousands of years, humans have not been able to leave the surface of the walls around them untouched.
So how have we allowed our walls to morph into boring expanses of beige, bland blank?
Are we afraid to let our lives and our passions show on our walls?
Are we too wimpy to move away from the white and sparse designer look with the obligatory three accessory items ‘casually’ displayed on the mantel?
Or is there so much visual noise in our lives that we need the peaceful and calming effect of blank walls when we finally crash at home or in our hotel room?
We feel that there is no right answer, but we do like walls that get us thinking or make us smile. We may not want them in our homes, but we love the ones we’ve seen in restaurants, hair salons, cafes and shops.
We admire the work of artists and designers who are not afraid to move beyond the limits of canvas and create visions that should forever alter the meaning of “staring at the walls” and “watching paint dry”……
